A sincere Thanksgiving THANK YOU! to all of you who have read The Third Coin and shared your reviews, comments and ideas. I truly listen to all your thoughts and take them to heart. I have finished the outline for a sequel to The Third Coin (which many of you have requested) and will continue working on it over the December holidays.
I have been slow in this effort as I been working on another book, a YA novel called Rob Starr (for now and possibly permanently) which I’m in the process of editing. It is the story of a teenage girl experiencing her not-so-perfect first love. It deals with some big issues like sex, self-respect and slut shaming – so perhaps not ideal for readers of The Third Coin. However I hope very meaningful for young women trying to navigate the ever-more-complex social pressures of high school. I hope you will have a chance to read it very soon.
But, most importantly, I want to wish you a very happy Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and New Year. Holidays have such an important role in our lives. They force us to pause, to change the rhythm of our days, and provide us time to reflect on where we are and where we are going.
My wishes for you at this time are simple:
To be hopeful for the world and humanity.
To be grateful for what you already have and have accomplished.
To rest and rekindle the spirit of your ambitions and passions.
And of course to read, write and be merry!
